The Opportunity 

Our Self Managed Super Fund division in Dubbo is currently looking for an Accountant to join the team.

This role is responsible for accurate Superannuation fund processing for a diverse range of clients and will provide you with the opportunity to work within a very talented high performing team and give you access to both established and emerging businesses. You will be encouraged to be the best that you can and afforded opportunities to continuously develop yourself through on the job learning or specific training tailored to your needs. 

Main responsibilities in this role include: 

  • Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for self-managed superannuation fund clients 
  • Reviewing taxation notices and preparing correspondence to clients 
  • Liaising with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients 
  • Preparing detailed working paper files including investment, income and CGT reconciliations 
  • Processing transactions for Trustees, benefits transfers, contributions and benefits payments on behalf of clients 
  • Ensuring jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines 
  • Ensuring clients are made aware of their compliance obligations. 
  • We are looking for candidates who have: 

  • Have one or more years SMSF experience - preferred but not essential 
  • Possess the drive to provide clients with an exceptional high level of advice and care 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Experience using Class software - preferred but not essential 
  • To be successful in this role, it is critical that you have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your workload. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
