Rumbalara Dental Clinic is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified dentist to become a part of our highly multi-skilled and professional team. You will play an integral part in providing quality dental care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait people, with an emphasis on prevention and education. We are seeking a full time (negotiable) dentist with a minimum of 2 years experience for a fixed term position. The classification for this role will depend upon your level of experience and salary packaging is available.

Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-operative is a Community Controlled Organisation and is situated in a tranquil bush setting in Mooroopna, 5mins from Shepparton and 2 hours from Melbourne. The Co-operative provides numerous supports to the local Aboriginal Community, including Health and Wellbeing, Community Services and Positive Ageing and Disability Services. We are one of the largest providers of services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in Victoria and employ over 200 people.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high quality patient care to the local Aboriginal Community and in accordance to our clinical standards, policies and procedures
  • Maintain and process patient records in accordance with our Clinical Record Standards and the Health Records Act
  • Student supervision at various times
  • To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • A Bachelor of Dental Science
  • A current Police and Working with Childrens check
  • 2 years experience
  • A committment to improve the oral health status of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
