A full-time opportunity in a busy, bulk billing clinic seeing 25 patients a day, Clinic is part of a well known and reputable larger group clinic with ample support from a larger cohort of GP’s, a mixture of fellowed GP’s, general registration GPs and support from nurses. Guaranteed Income period($125 an hour) and accommodation can be organised through the university for a 3 month period. At Churchill clinic, you will work alongside a full-time FRACGP with no after-hours or on-call responsibilities.
A typical day in this clinic involves a mixture of standard consults, chronic health, aged care as well as wound care, immunisations and minor surgical procedures.
Your interest in research will be highly regarded as the clinic has strong ties with Monash University and they regularly participate in research projects.
This large teaching clinic is part of a larger community health service which is dedicated to the development of Australia’s future medical workforce with over 200 medical, dental and allied health student placements each year through Monash University Department of Rural Indigenous Health.
Other support includes allied health, nursing team, administration staff and practice manager.
Operating Best Practice software the clinic consists of three consulting and two treatment rooms along with access to onsite pathology and shared maternal care. Other services are available through the larger health service and include allied health, community health promotion, specialist clinics, dentistry and palliative care.
The clinic provides a whole-of-person approach to patient treatments. A high proportion of chronic disease treatments present in clinic including asthma, diabetes, obesity and mental health.
Open hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm; with Wednesdays open until 7.00pm.
