Known for our people-first approach, the Hawthorn Football Club is seeking to appoint a Membership Communications Coordinator.

About the role

Reporting to the Membership and Ticketing Operations Manager, this role will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop, implement, and execute the communications strategy for membership and ticketing operations, and support the delivery of the overall membership strategy.

With a focus on excellent customer service, this role will have a strong operational element including monitoring and answering the membership hotline and responding to emails and mail. To compliment this, the Membership Communications Coordinator will maintain the membership database through accurate reporting and data entry.

With a fan centric mindset, this person will manage the membership website by uploading relevant and on-brand information and look for ways to enhance user experience.

In addition, this role will collaborate with the events team to co-ordinate member events and identify engagement opportunities for our fans.

The ideal candidate

A self-motivated individual, you will have experience using CRM and CMS systems, backed by relevant tertiary study in marketing, communications, sports management, or related fields.

You have a good understanding of current trends and how to engage core audiences, with demonstrated experience in developing and executing communications strategies.

With 4+ years’ experience in a customer facing environment, you will have exceptional customer service skills and a strong operational skill set. An excellent communicator, you can quickly build rapport and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.

A highly organised individual, you have advanced time management skills and are able work collaboratively in a fast paced and evolving industry.
