<div><p><strong>Principal Industries Officer, Level 2 – Mid North Coast Correctional Centre <strong><p><p> <p><ul> <li><strong>Ongoing Full-Time<strong><li> <li><strong>Location – Mid North Coast Correctional Centre<strong><li> <li><strong>Principal Industries Officer, Base Salary ($128,774), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading <strong><li> <ul><p> <p><p><strong>About us:<strong><p><p><br>The Department of Communities and Justice delivers legal, court and supervision services to the people of NSW by managing courts and justice services, implementing programs to reduce crime and re offending, managing custodial and community-based correctional services, protecting rights and community standards and advising on law reform and legal matters.<p><p> <p><p>Corrective Services NSW employs trade Overseers, Senior Overseers and Managers in Corrective Services Industries (CSI) providing inmates in correctional centres with vocational training in service and commercial industries to improve their employment opportunities when they are released from custody. Employment is a proven factor in reducing the risk of re-offending.<p><p> <p><p><strong>About the role: <strong><p><p>We are looking for a Principal Industries Officer to join the team at Mid North Coast Correctional Centre. This role will require you to:<p><ul> <li>Ensure the process to place inmates into work, education and programs after they are received into the centre and as they move through the security classification system is conducted in a safe and effective manner<li> <li>Supportmanage the daily routine and function of the correctional centre<li> <li>Be responsible for supporting and coordinating the educational and vocational development needs for inmates in accordance with CSIE objectives<li> <li>Develop and implement local business opportunities where possible and meet the key performance measure associated with the commercial and service industries business units associated with the role<li> <ul><p> <p><p><strong>About you:<strong><p><ul> <li>Proven experience and knowledge in Business Management<li> <li>Proven experience in managing and providing ongoing development and support to your team<li> <li>Able to remain resilient and calm in a high-pressure environment<li> <li>Sound oral and written communication skills<li> <li>Able to work in a time sensitive environment whilst continuing to overcome challenges and meet set deadlines<li> <li>An ability to plan, develop and implement business development opportunities<li> <ul><p> <p><p>For additional information on the role and responsibilities please <a href="s:ufile.iohz7txgx7">Click here<a> to download the role description.<p><p> <p><p><strong>Essential Requirements:<strong><br> <p><ul> <li>Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III) gained in any of the following manufacturing education environments: Food, Textiles, Furniture, Upholstery, Education or Management<li> <li>Possess proven management experience gained in a manufacturingeducation environment and the ability to plan, achieve goals, manage budgets and control costs<li> <li>Proficient computer skills, particularly in the use of an Enterprise Resource Planning System such as Pronto and have sound analytical skills<li> <li>Sound understanding of Quality Management, Workplace Health & Safety and Customer Service systems<li> <li>Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes (10 Weeks Paid Training)<li> <li>Current NSW driver licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role<li> <ul><p>  <p><p><strong>How you apply: <strong><p><p> <p><p><strong>When applying online, please attach the following; <strong><p><ul> <li>Resume (maximum 5 pages)<li> <li>Cover letter (maximum 2 pages) outlining how you meet the requirements and capabilities of this role as specified in the role description<li> <li>Copies of qualifications must be attached<li> <ul><p> <p><p><br><strong>For application enquiries or technical issues,
