About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our experienced and growing team!

The role will involve initially getting involved in tendering and pre-contracts. Taking projects from tender stage through to delivery.

Working away is required when delivering projects - typical roster being 11 days on, 3 days off and occasionally 3 weeks on 1 week off depending on the project. Uplift of between 10% - 20% is paid while working away as well as living away from home allowance (LAFA).

Projects include transmission lines and substations with the typical project value being between $5M and $35M.

 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain engineering plans and schedules ensuring engineering and design completion on time and within budgets i.e. within contractual and technical requirements
  • Monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs
  • Provide a safe and secure workplace for all employees by actively working with staff to achieve the safety policies of Zinfra and the policies of our clients
  • Provide technical support to the project team ensuring compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals and standards.
  • Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures
  • Organising and directing site labour and delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for coordination of site activities
  • About you:

    You will be degree qualified in Engineering with relevant experience in a similar role either in the Utilities or Construction industries.

    You will have a strong knowledge of PMBOK and understanding of how to deliver a project safely, on time, budget and to a high level of quality.

    With experience in tendering, pre-contracts, and project delivery, you will be confident liaising with multiple stakeholders and the ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads & frequent changes in priorities.
