Resilience NSW leads and coordinates disaster prevention, management and recovery – learning from experience to drive strategies and investment to reduce risk, build resilience of NSW communities, and give confidence to our communities to live, work and invest in NSW.<p><p> <p><p>Resilience NSW keeps people and communities at the heart of everything it does. By leading a whole of government approach to disaster recovery and resilience, we ensure that people are cared for, acknowledged and empowered – so that all NSW communities are better prepared for and supported on their journey of recovery from any crisis or disaster event.<p><p> <p><p> <p><p><strong>About the role<strong><p><p> <p><p>This is an exciting opportunity to manage and coordinate the development and implementation of policy initiatives and advice that support Resilience NSW objectives relating to State-wide planning, preparedness, response and recovery to disasters and builds community resilience. <p><p> <p><p>Key responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to): <br> <p><ul> <li>Develop and deliver complex policy initiatives that address current and emerging issues in resilience and disaster management and contribute to agency objectives. <li> <li>Coordinate and provide expert policy advice and information to relevant stakeholders to support decision makers and deliver Government initiatives.<li> <li>Lead and participate in quantitative and qualitative research to identify emerging issues, develop evidence-based options and solutions and mitigate risk in policy development.<li> <li>Build and maintain stakeholder relationships facilitating their engagement in, and contribution to, the identification and development of policy solutions and to inform strategic decision making.<li> <li>Prepare correspondence, written reports, publications, and briefs, that are informative and aligned with agency requirements, to respond to Agency andor Government requests<li> <li>Proactively practice continuous improvement to ensure team, division, agency, wider government and stakeholder expectations are met.<br><br> <li> <ul><p><strong>About you <strong><p><p> <p><p>You’ll bring your policy experience, energy and drive to the team that will help develop new initiatives that will shape a new agency and deliver outcomes for communities.
