Working for this local government body as the Office 365 Specialist you will be the technical lead responsible for designing and delivering Office 365 products through the changes expected as part of the Digital Workplace project. 

Your brand new role will see you provide technical delivery leadership of the Digital Workplace solution, with emphasis on architectural design, lifecycle management, security, management and support of implementations across all in-scope Office 365 products. 

Key activities
  • Lead the Digital Workplace technical implementation to deliver Microsoft cloud solutions on Azure and Office 365 platforms, with emphasis in security, architectural design, integration delivery, and support models.
  • Document system configurations, standards and procedures including developing an Office 365 Governance Framework.
  • Provide overall Office 365 security expertise including strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, Information Rights Management, single sign-on and multi-factor authentication and related technologies.
  • Demonstrate consultative capabilities by providing value added information for connecting technology, security and the business value of Office 365. 
  • Lead lifecycle management and service improvement activities relating to Office 365 Teams and SharePoint Online.
  • Lead the configuration of an Office 365 continuous development pipeline - a set of practices to build, test, and deploy software faster and easier - including the establishment of an Office 365 Development and Training Environment.
  • Knowledge and experience
  • Minimum of three years' experience managing Office 365 platforms - Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps, Azure.
  • Enterprise-level design experience with Microsoft technologies, including Azure and Office 365.
  • ​Experience delivering Office 365 solutions across a complex program of work and coordinating across multiple project activities.
  • Experience in process automation including designing and implementing Office 365 workflows using PowerAutomate /Logic Apps.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating input and documenting technical artefacts such as Office 365 governance frameworks, technical governance plans, and support plans.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including an ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary, geographically disperse teams
